Essential Functions

Set up and run the Die Cutter according to customer specifications.

Examine job orders to determine quantity to be cut, stock specifications, and special instructions.

Review scheduling list, prepare required materials to properly execute production of orders.

Set and adjust speed, positions, and pressure tolerances of equipment.

Continuously examine products for visual defects and apply correcting solutions to defects.

Work independently, or work as a team, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Collaborate closely with other departments and teams, maintain a safe, clean, and organised work area.

Perform all duties as designated by supervisor/manager, and safety policies.

Qualifications

Have hands on machine set-up and run experience as Die Cutter Assistant and/or Operator.

Must be able to lift up to 22 kilos, often carrying up to 13 kilos.

Read a ruler and measure, centimeters, inches and millimeters.

The position requires frequent finger, hand, and wrist movement as well as bending, twisting, and reaching.

Can continuously move in a demanding environment.

Can read and understand manufacturing instructions.

Attention to details, initiative-taking, and strong organization skills.

Communication, Oral & Written: The extent to which an individual communicates with clarity, actively engaging in conversations in order to clearly understand others’ message and intent, and to receive and process feedback.

Organized: The ability of the individual to be structured and methodical in working skills.

Problem Solving: The ability to recognize courses of action which can be taken to handle problems or potential problems.
